ADOLESCENT / YOUNG ADULT CANCER CENTERS ADDRESSING UNMET NEEDS AMONG YOUNG CANCER PATIENTS & SURVIVORS

Can Technology Improve The AYA Medical Treatment Experience?

HopeLab has focused on the challenges faced by young cancer patients since our founding project, Re-Mission video game. Now, in partnership with adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer centers and philanthropic partners like Teen Cancer America, we’re launching an initiative to transform the AYA cancer treatment experience by:

  • Promoting psychological resilience.
  • Empowering young adults to help direct their own care.
  • Supporting young people as they leave treatment and begin a new life beyond cancer.

It’s our hope that the tools we’re developing will ultimately scale to help adolescents and young adults with chronic illnesses like cystic fibrosis and diabetes.
